Spain: Gran Canary: Bahia Feliz

Summer 200?: charter, Star Tour, Monte Feliz (in fact this was a last-minute fare and we paied only about 150 pound for two weeks!)
Spring 2005: charter, Star Tour, Monte Feliz

Both times we stayed at Star Tours (the same as Thompsons) Blue Village resort at Bahia Feliz. The first time we didn't have any meals and the second we had half-board. Half-board at Monte Feliz, where we stayed, was not worth it. The food was OK, but not varied and after only a week we got bored. I would recommend to eat other places.

The resort is a little "village" and there are not much to see. To be honest, I have not been to the beach as I heard it wasn't very nice. The pool is nice!

If you go to the "holiday-places" at Gran Canary, it's boring. For one week it can be nice to just relax and sunbath, but for two weeks I would recommend to rent a car and drive to the mountains. This reminds me of when we went to the mountains. We stopped to get something from the luggage-room (???) and SOME (me, I think... :-)) must have forgotten to close the door. After driving with the door wide open for 1,5 hours a van "beeped" at us. We didn't understand when he "beeped" several times, until the driver pointed at the door.... Luckily we didn't loose anything!

For shoppers I can highly recommend to go to Las Palmas. When I came to Las Palmas I felt I was in a city, not just a "sunbathing-village".

Bahia Feliz is great for people with children, but I would never have went there without children!
