The Netherlands: Utrecht

Summer 2005, KLM, hotel Park Plaza Utrecht

Utrecht is not far from Amsterdam, an hour with train. The hotel was very close to the train-station. A nice hotel and very nice breakfast. The downside with this hotel was that the area outside the hotel was not the best, lots of drug-addicted people, "dealers" etc... My mother would not be happy if she knew I was walking past those people every day... :-0

Unfortunately I had some problems with my stomach so I didn't get the opportunity to explore the town very much. There were lots of small cafes and restaurants and I really enjoyed walking past and just "feel" the atmosphere.

We had dinner at NH Hotel, very close to Park Plaza, twice. The food there was excellent!

I bought shoes... some pairs... :) And not "wooden shoes" (eh, what is the name in English???) .
