Spain: Barcelona

December 2004, KLM, Hotel H10 Universitat

I found the hotel at www.lastminute.com and got a great deal. The hotel was very nice, so was the breakfast. The best thing with the hotel was the location. It was very close to the Plaza Catalunia, Las Ramblas and Passeig De Gracia. We had dinner at a tapas restaurant very close to the metro station "Universitat". Unfortunately I can't remember the name, the food was excellent so was the atmosphere.

For a "shopaholic" Barcelona is heaven. Passeig De Gracia is the street with all the designer shops. It was in Barcelona I was introdused to Salvatore Ferragamo, we are still in love... :-D

To go to Barcelona the week before Christmas was a "scoop". OK, there were people all over, but mostly locals and very few tourists. I really fell in love with this charming city.
