The Netherlands: Amsterdam

December 2006, KLM, Radisson SAS hotel.

This hotel is a five star hotel. To be honest, I didn't find this hotel more luxury than the four star hotel I have been to. The hotel was nice and the breakfast was VERY nice, as usual at SAS-hotels. The location was very good. Close to everything. Unfortunately it was raining heavily the days we were there and I was on my own every day. I went to all the shopping-centers but I was not in "shopping-mood". At last I had to buy four stockings, just to shop SOMETHING! :-D

I went to Anne Franks house. I read the book when I was a little girl but didn't remember much until I came into the house. OMG, it was scary to be there. If you are a little bit claustrophobic, I would not go inside. Some of the rooms are very small and some of the stairways are very steep and narrow, you can only go in one direction. The "tour" end in the museum-shop. Since I hadn't been in shopping-mood I just felt I had to buy a book, special edition from the museum! :-D

The last day I found some small things to bring home, a bag and a scarf. :)
