Travelreport #2 from London: Saturday

After checking in to the hotel, we decided to split up. T went to his shops and I went browsing around. We met for lunch. The plan was to go to "our" lunch-cafe. It's in Vigo Street and is called Vigo Street #5. It was GONE! We ended up at Starbucks in Vigo Street. OK, but nothing like the Vigo Street #5.... :-/

After lunch we just wandered around. Down to Piccadilly and to Waterstones. I bought 3 books, chic-lit, don't remember the names... It was 3 for 2. On the way home we decided to go through the Burlington Arcade. OMG, almost every third shop had gone! It looked like it was newly, as there were no other shops there, only empty shops. I found this very strange and have been thinking about this. In Burlington Arcade there were mostly old, traditional, English shops. Maybe there has been a "generation shift " now? The people who wanted old, traditional clothes are gone and the new generation don't want it? I don't know...

We went back to the hotel and had a little rest of 30 min. Then we headed down to Great Windmill Street, to Melati. It's T's favorite restaurant, Indonesian. We always have to go there when in London and he always eats the same: Chicken on the bone with chili and garlic. It's so hot I can't eat more than a little bit of it, but T loves it... :)

Went to bed early to be ready for the next day... Bicester Outletvillage... Do I have to say more? :-D
